Summary of Case:

Hayfield Township, PA (October 22, 2024): Season of Justice announces a new cold case billboard campaign located along US 19, approx. 0.1 miles north of Macs Ln, and 2 miles north of Meadville, PA. The  billboard, which will be up for 24 weeks, highlights the unsolved disappearance of Lonene Rogers, who vanished in the early morning hours of January 7, 1981. This billboard is part of a continued effort spearheaded by Lonene’s daughter to keep her case in the spotlight in hopes new information will lead to definitive answers about what happened the night Lonene disappeared.

Lonene “Lonnie” Rogers has been missing since January 7, 1981 from Hayfield Township, Pennsylvania. She is a caucasian female who is profoundly deaf and cannot speak fluently as a result. Lonene is 5’5” tall, weighs 140 lbs., has sandy brown hair, gray eyes, a freckled complexion and pierced ears. It was reported that Lonene was last seen by her husband, Clinton “Buddy” Rogers, on January 7, 1981 between 2 and 3 am during a snowstorm and that she left after the two had an argument. She left behind her purse, hearing aids, medication, car keys, and two small children.

Season of Justice is honored to support Lonene’s family and dedicated team of advocates by sponsoring this billboard, which will remain up through April 2025. We hope this billboard serves as a reminder to the public that Lonene’s children are still waiting for answers, and even the smallest piece of information may be crucial in finally getting the justice Lonene deserves.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Lonene Rogers or the individual(s) responsible, please call the Pennsylvania State Police at 814-332-6911.
