Summary of Case:

Atlanta, GA (July 15, 2024):

Season of Justice announces a new cold case billboard campaign located along E/S I-85 near exit 86 in Atlanta, GA. The billboard, which will be up for 4 weeks, highlights renewed efforts for answers in the unsolved homicide of 22-year-old Princella Eppes, killed in her apartment between July 7-8, 1990. This billboard is part of a continued effort by Princella’s family to keep her case in the spotlight in hopes new information will lead to solving this 34-year-old homicide.

22-year-old Princella, “Lady Bird” as her family affectionately called her, had only recently moved to her new apartment in Atlanta when her life was cut short. Princella was found deceased on Monday, July 9, 1990, in her N. Highland apartment by a maintenance worker. It’s believed she was shot by an intruder sometime between July 7 – 8, 1990. With no suspects or leads, the case went cold and 34 years later, Princella’s family is still waiting for justice. In 2022, Princella’s sister connected with the Florida-based nonprofit, Project Cold Case who quickly added Princella’s case to their database and began featuring her on their social media channels. In 2023, Project Cold Case published a Spotlight Article about Princella through their partnership with the University of North Florida Applied Journalism class. Recently, Princella’s case was featured on the popular “Detective Perspective” podcast, and Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Season of Justice is dedicated to supporting efforts that bring justice to victims of violent crime and their families. By raising awareness through this billboard campaign, we hope to generate new leads and encourage anyone with information to come forward. We hope this billboard reminds the public that any piece of information, no matter how small, could be crucial in finding her killer.

Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta is offering a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for Princella’s homicide.
