Season of Justice Sponsors Billboard Seeking New Information in the  2007 Homicide of Brittany McGlone

Wood County, TX (November 2025) – Season of Justice announces a new cold case billboard campaign located on I-30 near Rockdale Rd in Sulphur Springs, TX. The billboard, which will remain up until May 2026, highlights the unsolved homicide of 19-year-old Brittany McGlone, whose killer has remained free for 18 years.

On May 4, 2007, Brittany McGlone was found deceased in a home in Winnsboro, Texas. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head. While investigators quickly identified an individual, closely tied to the family, as a main person of interest early in the investigation, the case went cold due to a lack of sufficient evidence to bring charges. In 2022, the primary suspect was arrested by Wood County Sheriff’s deputies for Brittany’s murder. However, a grand jury later declined to indict the suspect, citing a lack of evidence, despite police records pointing to inconsistencies in their alibi, a failed lie detector test, and a documented criminal history. Wood County Sheriff Kelly Cole maintains that investigators have turned over new information and is determined to continue pursuing justice for Brittany, as they believe the suspects are still in the community.

Season of Justice is honored to support Brittany’s family by sponsoring this billboard, which aims to renew public awareness and encourage anyone with information to come forward. We also wish to acknowledge the ongoing efforts of the Wood County Sheriff’s Office and Wood County Crime Stoppers for their generous increase of the reward for information that could lead to an arrest.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Wood County Crime Stoppers at (903) 760-1008. Tips can be submitted anonymously. Even small details could help push this case forward. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
