Andrew Chapman
Columbus, OH (January 9, 2025): Season of Justice announces a new cold case billboard campaign in Columbus, OH located along 2800 block of West Broad Street, near the North Hague Avenue intersection, near the last place Andy was seen. The billboard, which will be up until June 2025, highlights the unsolved disappearance of Andrew “Andy” Chapman, who has been missing since December 8, 2006. In support of Andy’s family, Lamar of Columbus has generously donated a second billboard nearby which will also stay up until June 2025. These billboards are part of a continued effort spearheaded by Andy’s family in hopes someone comes forward with new information that will lead to definitive answers about Andy’s whereabouts.
Andy was a 32-year-old son, brother, father, and friend when he went missing on December 8, 2006. Shortly before his disappearance, Andy requested to withdraw nearly $40,000 from his retirement account. A check was mailed to Andy’s last known address, a home on Whitethorne Ave. that he shared with two roommates. Andy had been evicted the month prior, so it’s unclear how he received the check, but Andy’s family says $14,000 of it was used to purchase a car. NBC4 reported that several months after Andy disappeared, a family member of one of Andy’s former roommates transferred the title of that vehicle into their name. There’s been no trace of the remaining money, or Andy.
Season of Justice is honored to support Andy’s family by sponsoring this billboard, which will remain up through June 2025. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Lamar for the additional visibility. We hope these billboards serve as reminders to the public that Andy’s family is still searching for him, and even the smallest piece of information may be crucial in finally getting the answers and justice they deserve.
